The USC athletic dept. seems to really push employees regarding social media.
It’s almost as if they view engagement as more important than actually winning. And this has led to multiple embarrassing moments.
USC committed one of the worst this week. As the movie “The Odyssey” enjoys a huge opening weekend across the country, USC social media tried to capitalize on it. But it was a complete own goal that has become a talking point everywhere.
And here is the worst part. It’s not the first time USC has made this mistake.
I’d rather read the book than watch the movie

DON: Or more?

I can’t take the idea of One Big Victory every decade. We should stop playing real games and show classic old ones every season at theaters….like old movies….

HAWR HAWR!! “own goal”!! magnificent, wolfman!! checks out that the average trOJie doesn’t recognize the Trojan horse was not created by the Trojans, it was a thinly veiled trick PULLED on the dense trOJies!!
word is when Bruins beat the troJies next season, Chesney will drag Lil’ Lord Riley around the Rose Bowl three times!! Riley will fall thunderously, with his pads clattering down upon him!

No one is going to top O. J.’s performance with the Bills, especially that 275 yard day against Detroit [I think]. It’s almost like he’s being punished for something the general public doesn’t know about.

KAM: ’67 reminded us of that 2016 SC team’s amazing victory in the Rose Bowl
DON: But in 2024 Penn St got a measure of revenge with its overtime win in Los Angeles, although in 2026 SC has to go to Penn St. Some Trojans have chalked this up as a pretty sure victory
KAM: “Not so fast.” This is one of Penn St’s games of the year, they’re turning it into a ‘WhiteOut; I’d imagine the Trojans come in as a slight underdog

KAM: Turning back to the upcoming Penn St game, the ‘Lions have always been cemented in as the No 3 team in the ‘Big-10 behind Ohio St and Michigan
DON: So you’re saying that Penn St doesn’t want to lose its No. 3 ranking behind some upstart like SC

DON: I was thinking how if the Pac-12 was still in place it would continue to be an uneasy path for SC’s Playoff chances– there is the Utah ‘curse and of course Wash&Ore who are still present. And what about the Arizonas and Cal, they usually give us a good game
KAM: Murderers Row of Ohio St, Indiana and Penn St would like to have a say in this debate

KAM: And now the SC team has to deal with 5-hour flights across 3 time zones like to Pennsylvania
DON: No wonder oddsmakers give visiting teams about a 3-point disadvantage

DON: You got to be careful not to write Penn St as ‘Pen St,’ they are a little touchy about that
