USC Notes: Donors Get Props

I’m not a fan of this display of the donors for the new football building. It should be inside a meeting room. Not on the outside wall. But what stands out to me is that these are the same people who donated before the groundbreaking.

So no one else has become a cornerstone donor? Why does it matter? Because the project (including the new Dedeaux Field) is still at least $25 million short.

Maybe Lincoln Riley should donate since he demanded the building.

  • I told you last week the next phase of comments at training camp would be the amazing team unity.

Here is Exhibit A:

“Tremendous energy,” USC quarterbacaks coach Luke Huard said. “The enthusiasm of our football team is a great reflection of our culture.”

No coach has ever said this, of course.

  1. DON: Just because a phrase is used over and over does not necessarily detract from it being useful

KAM: Take for example, “Have a nice day”

  4. Scott, I don’t see Brian Kennedy’s plaque on the wall. His must be in a small room for donors who donated $400,000 twenty-five years ago and received the recognition at the field entrance all those years but didn’t donate to the new facilities. We thank him for his past contribution, but what has he done lately. Much thanks to everyone on the wall who did donate. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962.
