Well, here’s another example of Lincoln Riley doing what he does best: Ducking the competition.
USC has withdrawn from a potential series with Texas Tech with the games in Houston (2027) and Las Vegas (2028), according to Brett McMurphy of On3.
So Riley doesn’t even want to play his alma mater now?
Let’s review: Under Riley, USC begged Fox Sports to let it out of its contract to play LSU (Fox refused), dropped a home-and-home series with Mississippi and ended the Notre Dame rivalry.
And what marquee non-conference games has USC scheduled since Riley arrived? Crickets.
The happy clappers for Riley will now wail about how hard life in the Big Ten is and how USC cannot compete with a tough schedule. Always excuses.
Let’s remember Jen Cohen promised when USC dropped Notre Dame that the Trojans would always play at least one non-conference game against a Power 4 opponent.
Why did USC refuse to play Texas Tech? Well, Riley probably figured he made the ultimate sacrifice to play Notre Dame (albeit in 2030) and ordered Cohen to drop the Texas Tech games as a reward for his courageous action.
Scooter,
Enough is enough. The pencil neck geek and taco lita need to be tarred and feahtered and tiled to a railroad tie and hauled out of SC . They are not worthy of working at SC nor do they understand SC.

Imaginary Wiley: Why do I keep getting blamed for having dropped Notre Dame? SC needed the game to be played before ‘Big-10 games started. They refused.
You’d have to be blind not to see what this game means to Trojans. I am not getting in the way, I’m just temporarily passing through

KAM: The rah rahs tell us USC should start this season with 3 crummy teams to develop our team because we play such a hard Big Ten schedule and now the talking points are that we should start the season in 4 years with ND!

Imaginary Wiley: Yes, I got out of the Texas Tech game. That’s a 50-50 game and with 3-losses you’re out of the Playoffs. It’s all about the Playoffs these days

Texas Tech – good enough to beat USC, but they are not sufficiently highly regarded such that a loss to that team would plunge USC in the rankings.

Scott, what is your ideal schedule for USC? USC will be playing ND in the first or second game of the year starting in 2030. ND could have had this arrangement starting this year if they weren’t such a Princess. I’m glad that their playoff reality forced them to finally agree to this compromise with our Trojans. So, now you want us to play both ND and Texas Tech or another Power 4 school as preseason games. Are you really this silly? Your contrarian attitude towards your alma mater knows no bounds except your ego. Give your ego a rest and enjoy the football seasons while leaving the scheduling to the USC athletic administrators. Fight on, Dan, Class of 1962

Yep. It’s definitely Riley. You can tell by the contorted way he tries to make it look like playing Oregon, Washington, Penn State, Indiana, Ohio State and UCLA makes for a difficult schedule….

He was king at Boise State but saw the writing on the wall, was offered the SC gig but wanted more control over the program that the ankle grabber Haden would give him, so he goes to UDAB after Haden foolishly hired Sark away, talk about a complete cluster F
Fast forward 3-4 years and the AD hands a complete loser of a coach the keys to the kingdom and gives him everything he wants, only at USC.

I would think that at a minimum he is suspended until this is resolved.

There is a slippery slope, but simply allowing all “Inside USC material” and moderating political stuff seems like an easy call. The problem is that a lot of “Inside USC material” gets moderated.

This fake-azz Gabby is what happens when someone has way too much free time, absolutely nothing going for them, and an ego desperately begging for attention.
The threats and conspiracy theories are adorable, though. Nothing says “I’m completely losing at life” quite like sitting behind a keyboard pretending to be relevant while desperately hoping someone notices.
At this point, Gabby isn’t intimidating—Gabby is internet wallpaper: loud, annoying, completely unnecessary, and easily ignored.
When your greatest accomplishment is being obnoxious online, I suppose you have to manufacture drama just to convince yourself your pathetic little existence matters.
Keep barking, Gabby. The funniest part is watching you confuse attention with importance.
