Saturday Buzz: USC Adds A QB*

Quarterback Trey Wright of Frisco, Texas, is going to announce his college choice today and USC is the favorite.

He is a three-star QB. He is 5-foot-11. He is also considering Oregon, Kentucky, SMU, and Arizona.

What doesn’t compute here? I don’t really think it’s that important in many ways because quarterbacks are now easily available in the transfer portal.

But given the way USC acts like it is so selective when it comes to taking recruits, this is an interesting case.

UPDATED: As expected, Wright committed to USC.

      1. When it’s a poster who needs to post under a dozen different names, to make it appear someone agrees with her childish bs. it’s not so bad.

  1. KAM: A lot of good jibes going out for Coach Wiley this week, congratulating Wiles of getting another potentially super quarterback for 2028

DON: –And he might have another in this Maiava fellow

    1. KAM: Tropical Storm Lala continues to lash Hawaii’s Big Island and Maui with winds, heavy rain

DON: Lala will bring flooding rain, landslides and strong winds to the island chain through Sunday.

    2. About 3pm on Saturday I asked Google A. I. why it was still saying “residents of Maui should prepare for winds of 75 miles an hour on 8/15/26” when the winds never got anywhere near that… it replied that it was referring to the “winds around our 7000 foot high volcano” —I asked it it understood that 99.9999% of us don’t live on top of the volcano —-it promised to give me more “fact-based answers” if I wanted to ask more questions.

Lots of crap coming outta Google A. I. –I don’t know why.

  3. DON: Passing a football makes up 2/3 of the offense’s yardage, so you had better have some good cornerbacks

KAM: And there aren’t many great pass defenders out there
