I was pretty low key last week leading up to the Oregon game.

It was Lincoln Riley who talked about how he has everything in place for success (NIL, new football building) and the fanboys who said it was the biggest game of the Riley Era.

And now that USC lost?

Well, the fanboys have been complaining that the game was Oregon’s Super Bowl.

And Riley? Here is what he said: “Look, we didn’t get run out stadium. There’s a lot of good things on that tape.
“You don’t have a chance to win a game like that if you don’t do some things pretty well.”

So he just moved the goal posts. At least USC didn’t get run out of the stadium? USC did some things pretty well? Yes, of course. But USC also allowed 504 yards!

Colin Cowherd has resumed bootlicking status after a couple days.

“Oregon is a much better football program than USC… If you’re going to judge Lincoln Riley – If he loses to Washington, bring the battle axe. He loses to Wisconsin or Penn State, bring it on.”

Was he saying Oregon was much better last week? Cowherd is shameless.
