USC Morning Buzz: Key Questions For Defense

There are things I am going to emphasize as the season draws closer that will need to be answered during the season for USC to be a playoff contender.

For example: The defense’s back seven has questions, where one linebacker spot and the entire secondary have question marks. Is there a go-to cornerback? A standout at safety? Does USC have two linebackers who can disrupt a game?

Feel free to answer these questions.

  1. Swiss cheese has fewer holes than SC does on defense. Add in a ton of freshman, a coach who has a complicated scheme, that most of college football figured out how to beat, and it’s another year of MEH. Then there’s the head coach who is in over his head.

    Pre season rankings have OSU #1, Oregon #2, Indiana # 6, PSU # 18, UDUB # 19.

    From 9/26 to 11/14 SC plays

    Oregon

    Washington

    @PSU

    @ Wisconsin

    OSU

    @ Indiana

    FIVE ranked teams and an unranked Wisconsin in front of 75,000 in late October ( gasp, it might be cold !!)

    Still think SC is making the playoffs ???

  2. USC basketball is also receiving too much hype with a Coach who has never won a championship in anything. A 5th or 6 place finish in conference is realistic at best.- Michigan State, Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, Ohio State.,Wisconsin,. and UCLA will finish for sure higher in the standings ,and don’t forget Indiana and Michigan will might surprise.

  3. DON: Do we have to display that TCU score and picture of elated footballers mixing with the crowd?

    KAM A part of me is happy for TCU, but the larger part of me is sad that SC lost
