USC is leaving 790-AM and returning to 710-AM. There will be football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games broadcast, according to the radio station and university. But . . . there is a catch. What happens when the Lakers play? What happens (much less often) when the Rams play? Safe to say USC men’s basketball will be on an alternate station (hopefully) unless streaming becomes … Continue reading USC Returning To 710-AM
Penn State is a 5-point favorite over USC according to Circa Sports. That’s a surprise given the game is at the Coliseum and James Franklin is 12-26 against Top 25 teams. He is a quarterback at Los Gatos High School near San … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: A Surprising Line
Several USC commitments were visiting big schools this weekend. Tailback Harry Dalton visited Alabama; defensive back Hylton Stubbs visited Florida and cornerback Trestin Castro visited Texas. USC baseball coach Andy Stankiewicz has parted ways with pitching coach Seth Etherton, who was the only former Trojan on the staff and did a good job the past 2 seasons. Why does it matter? Washington is exteremly close to Carol Folt and followed her to USC from North Carolina. Her departure has led to speculation among administration watchers that it is a harbinger of things to … Continue reading Carol Folt Loses Close Associate
A high school coach was amused by USC coach Eric Musselman’s comment Thursday that “at USC there’s an academic piece as well. Our pool of recruits is different than maybe other places I’ve been.” I’ll cut Musselman some slack because he was at Arkansas. Bronny James worked out for the Lakers this week. I’m sure it went spectacularly. USC women’s soccer will play its home … Continue reading If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
