Los Angeles Country Club just staged the U.S. Open. Remember in 2019, a group of business leaders and USC alumni mounted a behind-the-scenes campaign against Rick Caruso’s bid to join the country club in retaliation for the dismissal of business school dean Jim Ellis, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Marcelles Williams, a four-star cornerback from St. John Bosco, has committed to USC. He also considered UCLA and Oklahoma. He is the younger brother of USC senior defensive back Max Williams, so this is not exactly a huge surprise. USC now has 11 commitments from the Class of 2024.
