One of the nice things USC did over the years was let the Los Angeles City Section host the Open and Division 1 baseball playoff semifinals at Dedeaux Field for a reasonable price. But then Dedeaux Field got torn down and the City Section had move elsewhere. Even though the new Dedeaux Field opened this year, the baseball playoffs did not return.
