USC Will Hold Graduation Event At Coliseum

USC announced tonight that it will hold a “Trojan Family Graduate Celebration” at the Coliseum on May 9 at 8:30 p.m. The event will include “drone shows, fireworks, surprise performances, the Trojan Marching Band and a special gift just for the Class of 2024.” Amazingly, Carol Folt said yesterday USC considered moving graduation to the Coliseum but it was already reserved. USC just announced changes to its graduation ceremony next month. “Given the highly publicized circumstances surrounding our main-stage commencement program, university leadership has decided it is best to release our outside speakers and honorees from attending this year’s ceremony. I’m hearing former UCLA basketball player Earl Watson has emerged as a top choice to join the USC coaching staff. Watson was the Phoenix Suns coach in 2016-17 and most recently was a Toronto Raptors assistant from 2021-23. He has wanted the UCLA job in the past.
