USC shot putter Dallas Long, who won the gold medal at the 1964 Olympics in Rome, has died. He was 84. Long also won a bronze medal in the 1960 Olympics. Rai Benjamin dominated the field in the 400-meter hurdles to win the gold medal in Paris, which was USC’s first individual gold at the Olympics.
