USC Loses To Stanford In Water Polo Final

Stanford defeated USC, 11-7, in the NCAA championship match at Indianapolis. USC led 3-1, 4-2 and 5-3 in the first half but it tied, 6-6, at halftime. Stanford then led 7-6 after the third quarter. USC Water Polo Defeats UCLA/Advances To NCAA Championship

USC women’s water polo defeated UCLA, 15-13, at the NCAA Final Four to advance to the championship match tomorrow against No. 1-ranked Stanford. USC scored seven goals in the third period to take a 13-8 lead and held on for the win. UCLA was ranked No. 2 and USC was No. 3. Stanford has won at least one NCAA title for 49 straight seasons.
