USC Sunday Buzz: No New Image Here
Sir Lincoln of Riley actually showed up at the USC-Michigan State basketball game yesterday. But before you think he’s turned over a new leaf (he hasn’t) and is open to becoming more involved at USC, Riley was only there because it was Junior Day and the recruits were taken to the game. I’ll have some news in the next day or so on how hostile … Continue reading USC Sunday Buzz: No New Image Here
USC Saturday Buzz: Let’s Check In On An Important Number
A USC player tells me that one of his teammates wants to wear No. 55 next season. I’m not mentioning the player because I feel like it’s not even worthy of considering such a request for any player on the current roster. The No. 55 should be worn by a player who walks right in and starts and makes a huge impact. Not a potentially … Continue reading USC Saturday Buzz: Let’s Check In On An Important Number
If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
Pete Carroll made it to class Thursday afternoon and then went to the women’s basketball game, where he got an enthusiastic response from the fans at the Galen Center. What response would Lincoln Riley get in a similar situation? Of course, who was at the game with Carroll? The omnipresent USC professor David Belasco, who also accompanied him to Las Vegas for his Raiders press … Continue reading If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column
Big Commitment For USC As Alijah Arenas Commits

Apparently, Arenas’ mother wanted him to go to USC. It’s a big pickup for Eric Musselman, who needed to land one of the big five Southern California stars that will graduate in the next 2 years. This gives … Continue reading Big Commitment For USC As Alijah Arenas Commits
USC Morning Buzz: Tickets Are Cheaper But Games Are Worse
USC has sent out season-ticket renewals for the 2025 season and the deadline to renew is Feb. 28. There are 10 tiers of plans available and the first seven require buying a membership from the Trojan Athletic Fund, which is basically like a personal seat license. One of my friends pays $3,000 a year for their membership. In terms of straight ticket prices, one plan … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Tickets Are Cheaper But Games Are Worse
USC Morning Buzz: A Change For The Better
USC has shuffled its coaching staff and — believe it or not — I think it’s for the better. Trovon Reed has been hired to replace Taylor Mays and here’s why I like it: Reed will coach cornerbacks, which is the position he played in college and coached at Central Florida last season. Mays coached safeties. It didn’t really make sense because secondary coach Doug … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: A Change For The Better
