USC To Wear Throwback Uniforms Vs. Nebraska
USC will wear uniforms similar to those worn for several decades beginning in the 1970’s when it plays Nebraska on Saturday. The famous three-stripe jerseys haven’t been worn since the 2001 season. Now I’ve heard from some alumni today that the jerseys aren’t quite the same because the stripes are higher up the sleeve in the throwbacks. But that’s a concession to the modern look, … Continue reading USC To Wear Throwback Uniforms Vs. Nebraska
USC Gets Probation For One Year For Rules Infraction
USC has been given one year of probation and fined $50,000 fine for having 8 analysts engage in coaching activities that happened in 2022 and 2023. The NCAA found Lincoln Riley violated head coach responsibility rules but because some violations occurred before Jan. 2023 rules changes and because he wasn’t personally involved and promoted an atmosphere of compliance, he will not be suspended. Long was the last of the great USC throwers … Continue reading USC Great Dallas Long Dies
USC Notes: The Predicted Defections Continue
Four-star offensive tackle Carde Smith is now being predicted by On3 to flip from USC to Colorado. This has actually been rumored for weeks, so it’s no surprise, especially if Julian Lewis also flips to Colorado. So USC would lose recruits from Georgia and Alabama if this is true. There will be more defections coming too. This is the danger with Lincoln Riley’s strategy of … Continue reading USC Notes: The Predicted Defections Continue
USC Morning Buzz: Please End The Madness
I grew tired of the Julian Lewis recruiting saga long ago. Now recruiting analyst Tom Loy of 247 is predicting Lewis will commit to Colorado. I just hope he does it as soon as possible. Lewis has been committed to USC for 15 months but has flirted with Georgia, Auburn, Indiana and Colorado ever since. And Lincoln Riley doesn’t exactly look like a QB whisperer … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Please End The Madness
