My USC-LSU Analysis
Here are some of my thoughts on USC’s victory over LSU: The defensive front 7 did a pretty good job against LSU’s vaunted offensive line. They were more disciplined than last season and although they didn’t force turnovers, they did what D’Anton Lynn wanted: Limit explosive plays. I can’t say the same about the secondary. They played soft coverage to limit big plays but they … Continue reading My USC-LSU Analysis
USC-LSU Live Blog
LSU finally is able to run the ball and it leads to a TD. It’s 17-13. Horrible clock management by Lincoln Riley in final minute. He lets a lot time pass before calling a timeout because he thought USC had a first down (it didn’t). That forces a field goal later, which USC missed. Has Bear Alexander played? Woody Marks gives USC a 7-0 lead … Continue reading USC-LSU Live Blog
USC Botches Hype Video
USC put a lot of work into the hype video for today’s game. But it has a massive error. They think it was the Trojans who were hiding inside the wooden horse . . . to invade Troy? The Trojans invaded themselves? The video got community noted on twitter and you can see it yourself below. Who goofed? I’ve got to know! Love it when … Continue reading USC Botches Hype Video
Pick The USC-LSU Score
It’s finally game day in Las Vegas! Who wins the big game? I’ll make my pick later today. Nick Saban picked LSU. But he also picked Florida State to beat Georgia Tech and Texas A&M to beat Notre Dame. The 7:30 a.m. mass at Guardian Angel Cathedral just off the Strip had half the people inside wearing purple and gold. Continue reading Pick The USC-LSU Score
Viva Las Vegas!
It is 105 degrees today in Las Vegas and the USC band held an outdoor rally. Shade was a premium thing. But it’s a dry heat! Continue reading Viva Las Vegas!
Saturday Buzz: Can USC Run?
This is another game story to follow tomorrow. Are tailbacks Woody Marks and Quinten Joyner considered above-average backs? Marks is considered a solit back but not as good as last year’s starter, MarShawn Lloyd. Joyner is a wild card. He hasn’t played a lot so maybe he will surprise. The LSU game should provide an early answer, if Lincoln Riley runs the ball. LSU is … Continue reading Saturday Buzz: Can USC Run?
