QUARTERBACK Miller Moss lived up to his Holiday Bowl expectations, especially on the final drive. There won’t be a quarterback controversy now. I’m going to again mention defensive tackle Gavin Meyer because there are always players who don’t get the publicity they deserve. Here are some of my thoughts on USC’s victory over LSU: The defensive front 7 did a pretty good job against LSU’s vaunted offensive line. They were more disciplined than last season and although they didn’t force turnovers, they did what D’Anton Lynn wanted: Limit explosive plays. I can’t say the same about the secondary.
