USC has done it again. For the second straight year at the athletes’ graduation ceremony, it has given out the “Willis O’Hunter” Award, which is named after Willis O. Hunter. USC Morning Buzz: Recruit Sets Commitment Date
Four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail of Bonita High School in La Verne will announce his commitment on June 30. He has scheduled official visits to USC, Oregon and Texas A&M. The workers formed a union last year and said USC eliminated annual merit-based pay increases. They plan a rally at11 a.m. Friday at the corner of Figueroa St. and McCarthy Way. USC Academic Senate Censures Carol Folt
USC’s academic senate voted to censure President Carol Folt and Provost Andrew Guzman on Wednesday, citing “widespread dissatisfaction and concern among the faculty” about USC’s handling of recent problems that have dominated the news on campus. The academic senate is the representative body of the faculty. The censure vote was 21-7. The Academic Senate tabled a vote of no confidence against Folt and Guzman.
