Morning Buzz: Should USC Be Offended To Be Rated Worse Than Penn State?
I thought it was a bad sign when USC was given a worse chance than Arizona by BetOnline yesterday. But maybe it’s just as bad that Penn State is given a 33 percent chance while USC is at 17 percent. Why is that bad? Because James Franklin has a 12-26 record at Penn State against Top 25 teams. Then again, Lincoln Riley is 3-6 against … Continue reading Morning Buzz: Should USC Be Offended To Be Rated Worse Than Penn State?
Basketball Issues Won’t Get Solved In Big Ten
JuJu Watkins has made 16 of 62 shots the past two Sunday games at noon, which came after USC played a Friday night game. The quick turnaround might be a factor in her poor shooting (26 percent). But here’s a question: Is that going to alleviated by a USC move to the Big Ten? Here is … Continue reading USC Has Worse Odds To Make Expanded Playoff Than Arizona

Alabama has named Maurice Linguist and Colin Hitschler as co-defensive coordinators and defensive backs coaches. The only problem is Kane Wommack is also defensive coordinator. That is three defensive coordinators! It has to be a record. USC has two, by the way. D’Anton Lynn and Eric Henderson. Lynn … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: The Football Bureaucracy Getting Worse
USC-UCLA Picture Of The Day
I forgot to post my all-time favorite USC-UCLA basketball game photo, which is from March 1, 1963 at the Sports Arena. The “underdog” Trojans upset UCLA, 62-60, after dropping two previous encounters a month earlier. So maybe the dog is playing for USC. No. 33 for USC on the left is Pete Hillman and the Trojan with the ball is Wells Sloniger. No. 45 for UCLA is Freddie Goss. Next to him … Continue reading USC-UCLA Picture Of The Day
