Saturday Buzz: Reggie Bush Loves His Heisman
When the Dodgers said Reggie Bush would throw out the first pitch Friday, I joked on social media, “Will he bring his Heisman?” Turns out Bush did bring his Heisman Trophy. Talk about image rehab. Was that the point of the first pitch? He got his trophy back. He never had to apologize to the USC players who were put on probation. The USC Friday Column Supplement
People are going crazy today about the new EA Sports college football game and its attention to detail. To be honest, this didn’t look like the Coliseum to me. Here is what is left … Continue reading USC Notes: Crosstown Cup Fizzles
Eric Musselman Completes Coaching Staff
Eric Musselman has completed his coaching staff by hiring former Washington assistant coach Quincy Pondexter. I wrote last month that Musselman wanted to hire Pondexter. He then changed his mind and wanted a coach with L.A. ties but got turned down by G League executive Pooh Jeter. Cal State Fullerton coach Dedrique Taylor was also a candidate but I’m told salary was an obstacle. So … Continue reading Eric Musselman Completes Coaching Staff

The headline with Lincoln Riley has been his $10 million salary in 2022. But is anyone asking if he earned it? He certainly did not last season. Five losses and he actually made more than $10 million last season. Not to mention the personal driver and other perks he has gotten from USC (or the new football building being constructed). A lot of fans seem … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: The Question That Should Be Asked For Lincoln Riley’s Salary?
