Notes: Famed Sports Photographer Peter Read Miller Passes Away

Peter Read Miller, a legendary sports photographer who spent more than 35 years at Sports Ilustrated, passed away over the weekend. He was Class of 1969 USC graduate and took photos for the school yearbook, El Rodeo, as a student. For decades he took photos of USC football, including several cover photos for SI like these: So USC said Alijah Arenas would not play this … Continue reading Notes: Famed Sports Photographer Peter Read Miller Passes Away

USC Morning Buzz: Another Example Of Coaching Malpractice

Kyle Whittingham told Urban Meyer that Michigan did not have a dedicated quarterback coach to work with Bryce Underwood last season. Talk about coaching malpractice. It’s almost amazing the Wolverines won nine games last season with the coaching shenanigans that went on within the program. Also, let’s remember that USC’s signature win last season was beating Michigan. Kind of more understandable today. Congratulations, Lincoln. USC Notes: There’s Always Something Going On

Remember a couple weeks ago Keyshawn Johnson said Lincoln Riley “knows nothing about being a Trojan.” I heard Johnson actually reached out to Riley afterward on an unrelated matter. Like Miami, for instance. Also, would it … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Quarterbacks Shaking Up Transfer Portal

USC Notes: Where Are The Caleb Williams Critics?

I will say it again: Why does anyone listen to this guy? USC had a one-point victory (men’s basketball) and one-point loss (women’s basketball) at Minnesota this weekend. The takeaway continues to be that USC women’s basketball had a terrible transfer portal. It’s now a question whether they make the NCAA Tournament. Continue reading USC Notes: Where Are The Caleb Williams Critics?

USC Sunday Buzz: Where Are The Trojans?

So Stanford interviewed Kris Richard in the middle of the week and a day later Coach Tavita Pritchard offered him the job. What’s USC’s excuse for taking so long? The fact Stanford hired Richard highlights another issue: There are no Trojans on the coaching staff. Mike Williams works as a support staffer but he is not one of the position coaches. This is one reason … Continue reading USC Sunday Buzz: Where Are The Trojans?
