USC took a commitment yesterday from offensive tackle Chase Deniz of Cathedral Catholic in San Diego. He didn’t even have any stars yet from Rivals and his only offers were from Sacramento State, Nevada and Fresno State before USC offered him Wednesday. JuJu Watkins was named the U.S. Basketball Writers’ Assn. Player of the Year today. I don’t think I agree with ESPN analyst Rebecca Lobo in the clip below that assumes Watkins will redshirt next season. I think it’s too soon to know.
