USC Notes: A General Manager Can Fire A Coach?

Stanford general manager Andrew Luck fired football coach Troy Taylor today. The GM can fire the coach? Can Chad Bowden fire Lincoln Riley? Now a couple things about Stanford. It doesn’t currently have an athletic director, so the decision fell to Luck. But the question remains why did Stanford keep Taylor following two investigations into his behavior but only fire him after ESPN reported on … Continue reading USC Notes: A General Manager Can Fire A Coach?

JuJu Watkins Suffers Season-Ending Injury

JuJu Watkins tore her ACL in the first quarter of last night’s USC game at the Galen Center, a devastating blow for the Trojans, who advanced to the Sweet 16 with a victory over Mississippi State. But this might have been the worst moment, when Watkins was in the game Saturday with a sore ankle despite USC winning by more than 40 points. USC superstar Juju Watkins went back in up 40 points after rolling her ankle. She … Continue reading USC Sunday Buzz: Another Strange Game Decision

A Busy Saturday At The Galen Center

A crowd of 6,865 showed up at the Galen Center today to watch USC play North Carolina-Greensboro and Cal face Mississippi State. As I write this, the Big Ten is 19-1 in the NCAA Tournament, if you count the men’s and women’s teams. Here’s some photos from the day: USC started slowly, leading 12-8, after the first quarter but then outscored Greensboro, 59-17, the rest … Continue reading A Busy Saturday At The Galen Center
