Pete Carroll, who interviewed for the Chicago Bears job on Thursday, will interview next week with the Las Vegas Raiders. If I was signed up for his USC class that starts next week I’d start getting nervous. Former USC assistant basketball coach Bob Cantu is opening “Bob Cantu’s Pizza and Sports Bar” in San Luis Obispo on Feb. 1. USC plays Illinois on Saturday in basketball. Will … Continue reading If It’s Friday, It’s Time For A USC Notes Column

I’ve gotten contacted by several people on campus who are noting USC is paying two people for one position while also instituting university-wide cutbacks. When Sir Lincoln of … Continue reading USC Notes: Does Another Program Require Two General Managers?
As USC gets ready to hire a new general manager at a salary that will probably be outlandish (amid university cutbacks), here’s an interesting stat: Arizona State is not losing any regular starters who did not exhaust their eligibility. Now I doubt ASU will duplicate its success next season. But I mention the returning players because it shows Kenny Dillingham is doing something right by … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Not Every Team Is Losing Players
