After Day 1 at the Elite 11 QB showcase at Mira Costa High School, USC commit Julian Lewis is ranked No. 5. I just assumed he would be No. 1 by a mile after the endless publicity over his recruitment. I’m being sarcastic, of course. These rankings aren’t exactly scientific, anyways. The other shoe dropped for USC today when five-star defensive tackle Justus Terry decommitted. Now I don’t really like crediting or blaming assistant coaches too much over commitments. But what about the fanboy media? They have literally put USC defensive line coach Eric Henderson on a pedestal since he arrived and then turned him into a rock star when Terry and defensive end Isaiah Gibson committed in … Continue reading USC Loses Five-Star Justus Terry: Impact and Fallout

Pete Carroll is so bored he was at the Elite 11 quarterback showcase at Mira Costa High School last night. USC is dropping the ball by not giving Carroll a part-time role of some type. You have an entitled cold fish (Lincoln Riley) who has refused to meet with alumni for 2 years. Why not get Carroll to do something where he can engage with … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Get Caesar Involved Immediately

There was a lot of hoopla when four-star defensive end Isaiah Gibson of Warner Robins, Ga., committed to USC in March. Some rate Gibson as the No. 1 defensive end in the nation. Today, Gibson decommitted from USC. He is currently on a visit to Ohio State. This was entirely predictable back in March. He is from Georgia. He’s a defensive lineman. You could never … Continue reading Top Defensive End Decommits From USC

Don’t worry, USC won’t play Mississippi in 2025 but it will still have a Southern school on the schedule. The Trojans play Georgia Southern on Sept. 6, 2025. Now that is a game Lincoln Riley fully supported. What’s always funny about USC bragging about moving back to 710-AM is it conveniently ignores the fact that it was on a Zombie station (790-AM) with a mixed … Continue reading USC Notes: Southern School Still On Schedule For 2025

The USC-Mississippi football games scheduled for 2025 and 2026 are officially canceled. This has been known for awhile because the teams’ schedules changed with USC moving to the Big Ten and the SEC adding Texas and Oklahoma. It probably makes Lincoln Riley happy because he doesn’t like playing good teams. More importantly, it ruins the much-anticipated Lane Kiffin homecoming with USC, although it remains to … Continue reading USC Morning Buzz: Lane Kiffin Games Officially Canceled
