I can’t say I ever felt like the USC-UCLA rivalry was too intense since Clay Helton took over. But for numerous reasons, including COVID-19, this week is really low energy by Crosstown Rivalry. So I will run a few photos from the past. So let’s remember 1957, when USC sabotaged a UCLA card stunt in 1957 by sneaking an “SC” into it. Also, in the … Continue reading Fire Up The Crosstown Rivalry

Linebacker Palaie Gaoteote has not been around USC for two weeks so his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal is not shocking to the coaches. Cornerback Greg Johnson will undergo knee surgery and miss the rest of the season. Going forward, will he go pro or return for another season? I suspect any player with even a chance of making an NFL roster will go pro after this short season. Tight end Jude Wolfe broke a bone in his foot and is out for the season. QUARTERBACK This was the first time Kedon Slovis looked like the 2019 version for an entire game. Now let’s see if it happens in a game USC doesn’t lead 28-0 before the cardboard cutouts make their seats warm. Grade: B+ RUNNING BACKS Maybe one of the worst collective performances by a group of backs in USC history. And I’ve already said to blame the offensive … Continue reading USC-Washington State Report Card
