Blame Andy Enfield’s Stubborness For NCAA Woes

For several years, I have complained that USC coach Andy Enfield refuses to upgrade the Trojans’ schedule. It played a critical role in the selection committee’s decision to deny USC an NCAA Tournament bid. USC was 0-5 against the Pac-12 teams who made the NCAA Tournament. Former Kansas/West Virginia Assistant Joe DeForest Joins Staff

USC coach Clay Helton has hired Joe DeForest, who was special teams coach at Kansas last season. DeForest was the defensive coordinator at West Virginia in 2012 and then coached special teams from 2013-15. Since USC already has 10 assistant coaches, it will probably give DeForest some type of title like special teams quality control assistant.
