A USC Recruiting Update

Last month, Calabasas wide receiver Mycah Pittman announced his top 10 schools and USC was not listed.

This seemed strange given that he is the younger brother of USC wide receiver Michael Pittman.

I’ve now heard Mycah Pittman’s biggest reason for not listing USC is concern over the Trojans’ depth at wide receiver. This is valid even though receiver Joseph Lewis appears to be history. Frankly, I’m surprised more wide receivers are not concerned about getting lost in the shuffle (like Josh Imatorbhebhe and Velus Jones so far).

But I still have to think some of this related to Michael Pittman’s father’s tweets last year about the coaches, which actually saw Michael Pittman start just a few days later and become an emerging star late last season.

I have also heard from credible sources that USC is not really recruiting Mycah Pittman. But with all the receivers I’ve seen USC recruit and even drop after they committed, I find it hard to believe they wouldn’t recruit Pittman if he were really interested.

Who are Pittman’s top 10 schools: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, UCLA and Washington State.

I hear Florida is the frontrunner.
