Long-Time USC Trainer Jack Ward Dies

Long-time USC athletic trainer Jack Ward, who was head trainer for 39 years (1959-1997), died on May 6. He was 89. He was inducted into USC’s Hall of Fame in 1999 and served as trainer emeritus from 1998-2003. Ward worked with seven USC head football coaches, six national championship football teams and 10 College World Series-winning baseball teams. He is survived by his wife, Linda.
