Three-Star QB Commits To USC

May is apparently the month of three stars. Kedon Slovis, a three-star quarterback from Scottsdale, Ariz., committed to USC today. Slovis (6-2, 186) also received offers from Hawaii, North Carolina State, New Mexico State, Oregon State, San Jose State, SMU, Arizona State, Indiana, Vanderbilt and UC Davis. Larry Friend, the starting point guard on USC’s last conference championship team in 1985, died on Tuesday of cancer. He was 54. Friend was named USC’s Best Defensive Player three times.
