- The Elite 11 Finals QB competition is taking place in Redondo Beach this weekend. There are 24 quarterbacks competing who hope to advance JT Daniels would be the big draw if he were not enrolling at USC next week.
Interestingly, current Alabama quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts were throwing Friday. Hurts is a counselor while Tagovailoa is attending with his brother, Taulia, who is committed to Alabama and was considered one of the top five performers Friday.
- Did you see Utah hired South Florida athletic director Mark Harlan as its new athletic director? Now that is a concept. A national search and choosing an outsider who actually was an athletic director somewhere.
- USC forward Chimezie Metu works out with the Portland Trail Blazers today. USC guard De’Anthony Melton worked out with the Phoenix Suns on Friday.
