Friday World Cup Talk

This was one of the most lively days of the tournament. Nigeria was pleasing to the eye and despite its youth defeated Iceland, 2-0. Nigeria is also a fan favorite with those kits.

Brazil needed two injury time goals to beat Costa Rica, 2-0. At least it wasn’t 1-0.

And then Switzerland an early 1-0 deficit to defeat Serbia, 2-1, as Shaqiri scored in the 90th minute.

All in all, a good day.

  1. Scooter, it seems there is always an excuse for a goal, like the two injury goals. What a joke. Like I said though, who cares

  2. I know the rest of the world lives for this event, and I know all the smug putdowns on how dull baseball is, but my gosh what a boring sport soccer truly is.

  3. Rusoviet, I humbly disagree that baseball is boring. Baseball is a combination of thinking and executing. Every pitch has a purpose. Every batter has something to do and the manager is thinking 10 pitches ahead. But we agree, soccer is very very very very very boring. Watching mud go uphill is more exciting.
