Elias Ricks, the No. 1-ranked cornerback in the nation for the Class of 2020, committed to LSU today.
Ricks plays at Mater Dei. He is a five star. And he is going to LSU?
Even nine of the 14 recruiting experts at 247 Sports projected him going to USC.
He’s not impressed with Clay Helton? Clancy Pendergast? Greg Burns?
So the No. 3 corner in 2019 (Chris Steele) and No. 1 corner in 2020 (Ricks) are from Southern California and USC is not going to get either one unless something changes?
Luckily it’s not like cornerback is a position of need.

There’s No Way that we should lose any player that we want at USC to play anywhere else!!!! 5 Star California high school player’s should be at USC!!!!! The Best programs should have the best coaches and players!!!!! Look at Alabama they have the best team because they have the best coach and the best player’s!!!!! There are plenty of coaches that could build a National Championship football team with just California Player’s!!

It’s always been a key to keep players in your back yard. SC is losing most to out of state schools. Its been happening for a few years. Saban and meyer have a cookie cutter system that works even when coaches leave they take it with them.

yes we know guys are coach sucks but look at the coaches he’s starting to put around him maybe I don’t like Pendergast as well but they got to start somewhere give it time if they don’t do good that’s setting up for Helton to get fired and then replacing him possibly with the new offensive coordinator got to turn around somewhere they have to start somewhere yeah I feel bad just like everyone else I’ve been a Trojan fan for more than 40 years and it sucks to see the talent go to these other schools but if that’s all they’re looking for are championships than looking for character then maybe they shouldn’t go to SC let them go to the schools right now you got Alabama and Clemson are having problems with their kids testing positive for substances or getting in trouble with the law
