Nickell Robey-Coleman Sends Rams To Super Bowl

Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman, who is from USC, made the key play to send the Rams to the Super Bowl. If he doesn’t commit pass interference, which was not called, the Saints might score a touchdown.

But I bring this up because I can relay a story about Robey (as he was known at USC), who was a popular player at USC, with his teammates and the media. When he turned pro early, it was assumed he made a mistake because he was not drafted. But Robey told people in the NFL he didn’t care because he just wanted to get away from the Lane Kiffin regime, where he wasn’t learning anything.

In the end, he made the right decision.

    1. Will never happen but I suggest the NFL eliminate kickers from OT. Play for TD’s only and only two pt. conversions after. Each team gets minimum one possession in OT, not like what happened with the Pats – Chiefs tonight.

  1. Rams-Saints back judge on the no call interference– Needs to never ref a game in the NFL again.
But it’s only fair that it evened out the Goff obvious face mask no call.
Saints had plenty of chances to win but couldn’t get it done.
Better team won. Rest well on the plane tonight. Team meeting 0800 Monday.

    1. Well, the Pats sure had no reason to complain @ KC…my gosh every call went their way save that last one for the Chiefs setting up their final TD before the Pats answered.

This is going to be a great Super Bowl

    2. Worst no call ever. Saints win the game if PI called. They were the better team except for the officials taking the points. Missed another obvious PI
which gives the Saints a 1st down. Confirmed by the announcer and former official .

      1. Understand I’m not a big fan of the Rams based on what they did to Saint Louis but if the Saints were the better team how come there was nothing out of Payton’s playbook or Brees actions after the 1st quarter? Games are won in the 2nd half and even accounting for that blown call late in the 4th qtr. why is it the Saints defense rolled over when the rams came marching straight back at them to tie the game? Same nonsense the Chiefs did with the Patriots. BTW remember that face mask that was not called against the Saints in the 3rd qtr.?

The Saints were lucky Jeffrey failed to catch that pass last weekend that became a ‘pick; against Foles…..the Saints didn’t play to win they played – not to lose.

  2. I made the joke about the ball not being catchable yesterday. There’s zero chance the ball was considered tipped or any other reason for not calling pass interference, so my guess is the ref just goofed.
Nickell was grabby when he played ball at SC I actually thought he’d lose the game for the Rams at one point.
As for the refs they were allowing a lot of cheap shots and interference during the game.
