    1. It’s a lie. Bru Stater firmly during his recruiting that Helton was the reason he came, and that he was happy that they retained Helton.

Hey scottie, where did bru’s girlfriend transfer to this past fall? The fact she went to Texas to play softball have any bearing on his decision…haha. Why don’t you post again about the workouts being soft as the reason he left!

      1. Pudly, my friend, you are SO wrong on this one! What you fail to mention is the fact that Bru had never met or even heard of Clay Helton throughout high school or during recruiting. You should know that 5 star recruits often choose schools without having the slightest idea who the coach is —-or, in the alternative, choose a school that doesn’t employ the coach they REALLY want to play for. This seems to be a reality which you refuse to recognize. The truth is Bru didn’t learn that Clay was head coach until he read some comments about him by tebowobama on Inside USC —and 24 hours later he entered the portal.

      2. So true Michael, I forgot the basic tenet of all knowledge;”only believe what you read on the interweb”. Shucks. And the fact that Bru has a sister who dated Clay’s son didn’t mean that the families knew each other too…now I get it.

BTW, it’s true about Bru’s sister and Clay’s son.

      3. Pudly —thank you so much for acknowledging how well I analyzed this issue [and even adding to the analysis with additional facts]! Now it should be really obvious how much in the dark poor Bru was as to the coaching situation at USC. It pains me when a kid is taken advantage of like this —there should be a new NCAA rule stating that “all recruits must be told that Clay Helton is at USC and Tom Herman is at Texas.” We need to make sure this kind of fuck up never happens again!

      4. I heard there were several of the bama kids in the transfer portal too.. they had just found out that saban was their coach. They thought they were going to UAB not the tide..

Btw, did the fighting rainbows ever attack?

      5. I heard the same thing, Pudly. How many times does this (i.e., kids winding up at Alabama without having ever heard the name Saban) have to happen before congress investigates? It smells like Russia.
As far as the University of Hawaii —-no news is good news [but I don’t want to jump the gun and say the trouble is over].

      6. Hey Michael, here’s the latest interview from coach Helton about the team and staff. Included are the numbers 1300+ of kids transferring through the portal. So if there’s 130 D1 schools that would be an average of 10 per?

      7. Thank you, Pudly. Read every word! I have to admit it sounds pretty good, too. We’ll know whether it’s all true or not real fast —we will be tested at the Coliseum by a very well coached Fresno State team (even if they have lost a bunch of guys to graduation). If we kick ass in that first game —and keep injuries down —USC could be right back in the thick of things. [That’ll mean far fewer fun times taking cheap shots at Helton —but far more good times looking up a the scoreboard —- & I, for one, will be happy to trade the one for the other].

  1. Bottom line, if USC had a strong football program, then nobody would attempt to leave. Clay Helton is obviously struggling, because he’s recruiting second tier athletes who usually go to the Mountain West schools. Utah, Oregon, Stanford, Arizona State, Washington, and Cal have much better football teams , and coaches then Bozo Helton, and his comical coaching staff. And from the results of last seasons crosstown rival , you can add UCLA to that list, too

    1. CAL. #1 public institution in the world despite the worst city politics in the U.S.
Starting backfield for the Rams in the Superbowl.

USC lost to CAL in 2018.
Second tier? Where’s that leave SC?

Pal, you couldn’t even get admitted.

  2. Pudly76 and MG: I don’t know which one of you have a better “finger on the pulse” of all these personal particulars relative to the family members and who are dating and banging each other (Lol)…
