Check out this stat from Pro Football Focus. I bet you didn’t know USC was so great at pass-blocking last season.
In terms of pass-blocking efficiency in the Pac-12, the USC Trojans had the most efficient offensive line. pic.twitter.com/XtMWVAIbcy

Does anyone know the formula for this stat? Trojans were 68th in sacks allowed last season.

That’s not a stat, it’s a ranking not a result…like the difference between speed skating and ice dancing in the olympics. One is judged, the other is a result. Don’t let scottie confuse you.
Hell, I got a woodie for a brief second thinking there would be pertinent facts or statistics to look at, but nah.

Pudly – thanks again for clarifying Scottie’s posts. It sure sounded like a stat from the description…
Going back to your post on “owns driving a Gremlin” from yesterday, which was brilliant: what is Scottie’s set of Wheels – a Vega? Pinto? Pacer? Or maybe a bit sportier, such as a Mustang II with a landau roof?

Brutally honest study of how much Helton and Swann’s joint ineptitude has impacted recruits to ‘disconnect’ and ‘sign’ elsewhere. Glad that the scribe J. Brady McCullough did his homework on how devastating Helton and Swann have had on the program – a cartoon in the ‘Letter To The Editor’ in today’s Times shows an ostrich with its’ head in the ground and named ‘Swann’ surrounded by: players, alums, cheerleaders and the 4th estate.

67 that is a blistering salvo directed, not at the clueless Helton, at Swann. Let us all hope they both leave in tandem….my gosh Swann is an awful AD by any measurement. Arrogant fool he truly is – sooner that clown is gone the better.

Well the sacks did go down this year from the previous year as did interceptions and qb fumbles, does that matter, considering Sam was able to escape so many times the previous year? Sam had 30 in 2017 of course there was a Bowl game and Pac12 CCG…hmm very confusing.
The funny thing is, there is no statistical info in your “statistics can be deceiving” post, PFF just uses their own “criteria and judgement” to rate teams. If you could show the facts that are in dispute here I’d appreciate it. It’s just another opinion that you put up as a fact just to further your agenda… facts matter.
Statistics matter. Why do you think pro teams have so many people tracking them?

Hey PUS, how many people do the Rams have tracking team/opponent stats? Just asking for the facts PUS – you said it yourself “facts matter.”

Surprising, I thought SC’s line looked horrendous

And yet SC lost their starting QB to a concussion midway through the season and then demoted/fired their OC a few weeks later.
Someone needs to post the term “Fake News” into the OL pass efficiency thread of Pro Football Focus’s Twitter post.
