USC coach Clay Helton is pretty adept at saying things that have no basis in reality.
“We can literally let everybody come in here and watch this, we really don’t care,” Helton said Saturday. “We want to be able to set our standard and play to that standard.”
Oh really?
Then why did he keep the offense basic on Saturday with a Pac-12 Network audience? And why not open practices to the public next season like Pete Carroll always did? You can literally come in and watch and he doesn’t care?
I hear Helton is looking at ways to limit access to practice even more next season. So why does he make comments like above?
Flow quote of the day: “Thanks, Hubbs!” SC baseball over ASU again. Flow the douche will not recognize this. “Thanks, Douche!”

Scottie is a bit like the New York Times, If it doesn’t fit with his agenda, then it didn’t happen.

Yeah. If it’s not negative, Flow won’t talk about it. Poor, Flow. He’s not even allowed at practices. Media pass = pulled.

Flow the douche. Best quote ever. Ten thumbs up. Wolf is a one way street heading straight down hill. He couldn’t find Dedeaux Field with Google maps.

The attention is on all the other dumpster fires on the main and health campuses….what Helton says in April won’t matter until August.
Helton will be gone < 1 yr – the focus needs to be – fire Swann

Alv — You sound a bit like Alexander the Great when he faced the vast army of Persia—-“When all the chariots have assembled on the field of battle, the focus of every soldier must be on one thing: rid the world of King Darius.”

How very rich MG, linking Alex the Great with Darius III as a metaphor Swann.
Now MG, please remind the bloggers in what battle did AG utter “When all the chariots have assembled on the field of battle, the focus of every soldier must be on one thing: rid the world of King Darius.”

In which battle did Alexander utter the above quote? That’s easy. The one starring Richard Burton……

Yeah then there was the one that didn’t end the way the ‘famous one’ thought it would (Ali about agreeing to fight Leon Spinks) “I gotta fight him…he’s ugly!”

As I recall part of the sanctions was to limit people at practice. Pete had celebrity central going and the NCAA said that was an unfair recruiting tool. The mentality of sanctions has not been lifted.
Or maybe he just doesn’t want sour grapes reporters

According to sources, the southern cal AD Lynne Swann is contemplating playing football in the Banc of California stadium this year because of struggling ticket sales. Swann believes southern cal will be able to sellout the 30,000+ stadium.
Swann was heard saying “southern cal football will be the hottest ticket in town” as he rubbed his hands together.
