The offensive line and cornerbacks are USC’s weakness next season.
So what can USC do about the secondary?
I asked an NFL coach who watched USC play six times last season and heard through scouts at scout practice about the struggles of the corners.
“If they don’t get better they will have to play Cover 2,” the coach said. “You can’t play Cover 2 in modern football but it’s a slow death and not a fast death.”
Is the quote supposed to be to the effect that “you CAN play cover 2 —but you’ll die a slow death”…..?

I think he means no one sane plays it because you will give up 450 yards passing a game 10 yards at a time.

SC is and has been in a slow death for 3 yrs…every year a little bit worse…a one back offense must have a running q/b, or at least the ability as Sam had…particularly with this undeveloped ‘O’ line…losing Matt …gonna’ be a bummer
