Great View In New Coliseum

Beware section 303 in the new Coliseum, apparently. Actually, there will be obstructed view seats on both sides of the new tower and fans will see what looks like less than half the field.

If USC plays like last season, these might be the preferred seats.

I’ve talked to USC officials about this for the past year. USC tells me these seats will only be sold for certain games and fans will know in advance of the obstructed view.

  1. Man I thought Fenway had problems! That is truly telling….who’d ever want to sit there? I assume there’s going to be some monitor or ‘I Pads’ for those sitting there …. so much for the start of the 400 meters come 2028 huh?

  2. Strangely enough if you watch the cited link

note the very section Scott was discussing – # 303 and the section on the other side (west) havn’t had any work done on any of those seats. 1:05 mark onward

The press box/super suites are huge – looks like an ocean liner has been rammed down on the entire south rim – they should have put it on the north side just to give the partricians some well-deserved sun. It could have been worse with that monstrosity rising above the south rim.

    Pat’s gift….his legacy…that and the Mayr Foundation

  3. Those seats shouldn’t go for more than $5 per game.

But knowing USC, they’ll probably charge close to a $100 and ask for some personal seat license fee beforehand.

    1. Kind of like all those sellouts over at wooden’s bunker aka Pauley? You see genius people actually still show up for football games – now as to the 45 year farce of ‘Remember when we were champs…” idiocy well I guess the next best move is to charge to see that re-creation of ‘Lenin’s Tomb’ aka the peckerwood rumpus room complete with Nellie flying around with a soundtrack of her screeching voice

  4. Are they at least going to put up a video screen on the opposite side of the stadium so spectators can see the obstructed portion of the field? Or maybe there could be an app for cell phones?

  5. With Helton coaching this team USC won’t sell half the seats with a full view of the field, let alone those crap seats.

  6. As a donor, I objected vociferously in writing and in person to the destruction of those sight-lines with the “Death Star crashing into the Coliseum” plan. Big money wins, and everything else loses. Could not be less happy with how this was handled. Those obstructed view seats should now be scrapped. Every single one.

    1. Hey Illium empire good one ‘Death Star crashing into the Coliseum’ … great mental visual I mean it! Kind of reminds me of anytime a demoncrat proposal is passed – notice how little is said about ‘Former Gov. Jer dawg’s con and his buddies and his own plundering scam’ – the bullet train is never mentioned anymore? Just like his pig plundering daddy who told everyone there was going to be a big new airport up at Palmdale back in 1965….land went through the roof and good ole’ Gov. Pat Brown and his buddies sold their land in the Antelope Valley to the fools….

Pat Capper Haden….no blowback for Mayr Foundation but hey I’ve health issues
