Highly touted 7-foot center Evan Mobley has committed to USC, where his brother is a freshman and his father is an assistant coach.
When Andy Enfield hired Eric Mobley as an assistant coach, it was money well spent.

Man, you seem to really hate your job. Isn’t there a small town paper somewhere where you can cover a school you don’t absolutely despise?

What he pointed out is Gap Tooth wouldn’t have gotten these kids with hiring daddy

Rah rahs can’t handle the truth. What Enfield did is shameless and unethical. It is just the perfect stunt to pull after one of his assistants pled guilty to felony conspiracy to commit bribery. At least six schools will receive Notices of Allegations for Level I violations from the NCAA this summer, an NCAA official told Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports. This means any day now!

USC lands the #1 recruit in the nation and Wolf uses the news to talk sh%t once again. What a joke. Eat a bag of dicks Wolf. You’re disgrace to your alma mater. Hand this blog off to someone with real inside information and thoughtful insight about the program, if SC fans want to read the musings of a whiny troll, there’s more than of them in the comments section.

What shit did he talk, that Gap Tooth hired a dad to get his kids ? Gap Tooth would never have gotten these kids had he not done what he did.
And this blog is run by Wolf, he can write what he wants, don’t like it, don’t read it, go read the sunshine pumper sites.

Are the kids coming to SC? Is this one the #1 recruit in the nation? Ok then. What Enfield did was a stroke of genuis. Plain and simple. Apparently, much like the hairy troll “blogger,” you’re too stupid to recognize that. Nobody is looking for “sunshine pumpers,” just honest and REAL insight about the program. When was the last time you got that from Wolf? If all he wants to do is whine and talk shit, he should associate this “blog” with the USC name or, at the very least, he should be honest about his intentions. Instead, Wolf plays himself up as an “insider” and does nothing but quote anonymous sources talking shit about every element of the University. It’s a joke.

….And if Pittman has a great season (say one extra TD per game), USC will have a great season.

Pudly —Do you know how lucky a qb is when he KNOWS that his primary receiver can adjust to the ball coming over the left shoulder rather than the right?

I bet both he and JT would admit they both left plays on the field. Pittman with a few big drops and JT missing Pittman several times when he was wide open.

Timing between QB and receivers is huge —- no two guys run the same route the EXACT same way —-and no two guys throw the ball the exact same way —-which is why I hope Helton doesn’t mess around too long picking his #1 QB and starts giving that guy all the reps —unlike last year when so many throws were just a little off cuz the players needed more time together before the season started…….

I used to practice tracking the ball like that as a kid, but could never do it without backpedaling a bit.

Arturo —Every right handed receiver I know prefers the ball over their right shoulder —I don’t know why that is. It means that you’re relying on your left hand more than your right hand….

This pales in comparison to what Wooden and Sam Gilbert did back in the day:
“If the UCLA basketball teams of the late 1960s and early 1970s were subjected to the kind of scrutiny (other schools) have been, UCLA would probably have to forfeit about eight national championships and be on probation for the next 100 years.” – Bill Walton

Most damning fact was Bartow, after confronting the corruption that Gilbert represented, had his life threatened by Gilbert. Wooden claimed he had a ‘…clear conscience…’ wonder what he deemed ‘clear’? Hmm sounds like what Scientology claimed it is.

Thing is ’67, Wooden didn’t have to hire a recruit’s father as an Asst. Coach to land a 5star player.

Guess we learned thru Bland. Better to pay fathers than their sons directly to get them . Smarter position to pay Dad to coach his sons than then directly

At least we played by the rules that AZ and others have been using.
Desean Holmes father basically signed his son away to UCLA so he could magically become a 7on7 coach that gets 15,000 for 2 months of coaching immediately after he signed.
But the Mobley father is a smart man from what they say. He wanted the opportunity to coach at the college level and he coached the Compton Magic to the High School Basketball Summer “National Championship” last year. That’s not an easy accomplishment even with the team he had.

Arizona and Ucla have been doing this long before USC.
Enfield didn’t have a scholarship for Marvin Bagley or he might have just played for the Trojans. Say what you want about AE but he has brought in some good kids lately. If he could only win games and out-coach his opponent now.
There will be some players joining Mobley that are pretty good too. Should be a tough group. I think Clarke from Centennial will be in the class too. Some think Makur Orange Lutheran might team up with Mobley.

Today has to irritate Wolf when we finally have great news with Mobley announcing to play bball for Andy making it a bright day for USC sports.
“So what did you think of the team’s performance today?”
Adam J Maya or Dan Weber give their take real fast and SW has an idea of what’s going on.
It’s kind of funny. Wolf seems like a guy who is peaceful in terms of his overall look and tone when speaking. You would never think he has so much negativity in him.

Hey, Sam — I think that when Scott is typing up stuff like today’s post, he gives himself a big smile —kinda like the smile Tarantino puts on his own face when he’s writing a scene in which somebody is getting revenge on all the bad guys…..
