“I think you’ve got to let them go at least for a week or a week and half, and then at that point, hopefully, we’ll kind of, if not narrow down to one, at least narrow down to two,” Harrell said. “Start to weed it out as we probably get closer — because it’s not about who’s playing the best on Aug. 1. It’s about who’s playing the best on Aug. 31. And in order to figure that out, you’ve got to let them compete until then.”
But will Harrell stand up to Clay Helton if he disagrees on the starter?
Meanwhile, the USC basketball team obviously played an easy opponent, the Spanish Select Team, today in its 102-51 victory.
