Former USC president Max Nikias came out of hiding and was at the Rancho Mirage Writers Festival today.
He was on a panel that included Geoffrey Cowan, the former dean of the Annenberg School for Communication and and moderated by former California Gov. Gray Davis.
The topic was “What will higher education look like 10 or 20 years from now?” and one issue was supposed to include “institutional accountability.”
Imagine the questions one could ask!
Max is the one guy who made it out in time. HH is Hades and Helton is holding the pitchfork.

Who is the bigger disgrace, the corrupt Nikias or the man who gave us the pension gap, Gray Davis?https://www.latimes.com/projects/la-me-pension-crisis-davis-deal/

Close call. Davis was completely corrupt with pensions.

I remember being mystified when the police, firemen and prison guards endorsed Governor Moonbeam’s Chief of Staff over Dan Lundgren in the governors race. Once he increased their pension multiplier from 2% to 3% a year it all made sense. https://www.city-journal.org/html/beholden-state-13274.html
