When USC Offensive Coaches Applaud Donte Williams They Indict Themselves

It is universally agreed new assistant coach Donte Williams will improve recruiting. That is why he was hired.

But if he gets some offensive players to commit, what exactly have Graham Harrell, Mike Jinks, Tim Drevno and Keary Colbert been doing the past year?

Harrell couldn’t even land a two-star QB this year. Jinks did not sign any tailbacks. Drevno signed a collection of linemen ranked below USC standards. Colbert got two wide receivers but you could probably do that given USC’s reputation and pass-happy offense.

It’s just important to realize when these guys pat Williams on the back, they indict themselves. And that goes for the recruiting dept. too.

Why hasn’t USC named Williams recruiting coordinator yet? He seems the overwhelming best candidate for the job.

Sheesh, Scottie, Colbert was the highlight of the SC coaching staff last year. Throwing him under the bus too?

    1. Thats how it goes with Scott … when USC recruits poorly, blame everyone possible. When USC recruits well, it’s not an accomplishment because “usc recruits itself”.

      It’s tiring.

  2. Hey.. what do you guys want?
False praises about how great USC is at every
    Level!
Maybe you’ve read that SC was 10th in PAC12 recruiting and 54th….yes 54th nationally.
    Unacceptable and embarrassing for USC!
Get real.. Don’t kill the messenger!!
Scott says it straight.. with no Helton Constant BS..
Go complain somewhere else… Nobody’s making you read Scott’s posts.
Go praise the state of USC Football and be Fat,Dumb and Happy!
