Although I said last week I didn’t think USC would leave the Pac-12, I wouldn’t mind seeing Mike Bohn make a critical comment or two about Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott.
With Scott’s contract up in 2022, now would be a good time for Bohn to drop some hints about Scott’s job security. That would really re-establish USC’s role as a power broker in the Pac-12. Not Oregon. Not Washington. Not UCLA, who has a president that hates sports.
There is a power void in the Pac-12 and Bohn can seize it. It might also be a sign that he can rehabilitate himself from keeping Clay Helton.
- Former USC defensive lineman Chris Wilson has been hired in a similar role at Colorado. Former USC graduate assistant Demetrice Martin, who spent many years at UCLA, was also hired as the Buffs’ secondary coach.
