There is a lot of buzz in Georgia circles that JT Daniels will transfer to the Bulldogs’ football program.
Say what?
I’ve mentioned before the idea of Daniels facing SEC defensive linemen is not good.
Now let’s look at Georgia’s quarterback depth chart: Jamie Newman has transferred in after starting at Wake Forest. Maybe that doesn’t matter if Daniels needs to sit out a season because Newman is a senior.
Georgia is bringing in four-star QB Carson Beck of Jacksonville, who was rated a top 15 player at his position. It also has junior Stetson Bennett, who played in four games last season. It also has D’wan Mathis, a four-star QB who redshirted last season.
I guess you can make a case that Daniels could start in 2021 but he will still need to compete and won’t have Clay Helton making the call on the QB position. And how long before he gets hurt?
- USC has announced the hiring of Chris Claiborne and Hayes Pullard as quality-control analysts.
If JT Daniels transfers to Georgia, then look for him to transfer again, after the Bulldogs sign another 4or5 star quarterback in the near future. If he thinks he’s that good, then he should go to a Division ll power, because the NFL will find you. Tim Tebow was a gutless no talent, that’s why he didn’t want to go to Canada to prove himself like Warren Moon did.

According to sources, JT was promised that Clay Helton would be signed as the HC Georgia in 2021 so that JT Daniels will start and win the Heisman!

Great hires in Chris Claiborne and Hayes Pullard. They will bring a whole new dynamic to the defense.

You bet, 67. A good addition but……..what does a quality control analyst do?

Hopefully, the quality control analyst role means they can be promoted to HC.

“it’s kind of taken to the pro format,” Helton says of his staffing at USC. “When you look at the NFL, you have the first assistant and second assistant. You have a full-time coach who is actually coaching the position and a quality control that’s getting a lot of the work done for the coach from a cut-up standpoint or computer standpoint. It’s almost like he has his own assistant for meeting preparation.”
This from the mouth of our genius coach.

I think the SEC is where JTD should go but not Georgia. The Dawgs will just keep signing 2-3 5star QBs every year to see if any of them pan out. He’ll be lost in the mix.
Florida would be a better option than Georgia. Certainly either of the Mississippi schools would take him over whatever they have currently on the roster?
I also think FSU or Miami would be good fits for him. They each have nothing at QB he couldn’t beat out.

Now that’d be something to see, signing three 5 star qb’s every year!

I know some will be concerned about depth this season, but SC has a grad-transfer walk on quarterback. What’s to worry about?
