https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsEnd of my run, saw all these surfers and picture and asked a young man who this young man was. He said it was his best friend, former USC star Max Tuerk 26 who died hiking on Father’s Day. His sister is a surfer and she organized a paddle-out. #RIP #surf #SaturdayThoughts pic.twitter.com/CqLPggugwJ

Hard to believe he was taken so young…prayers to the Tuerks

No good day to die, but Father’s Day will forever be changed for the Tuerks. R I P Max.

Looks like the ruins financial woes are multiplying quicker than tbone’s women at the ymca…

Ha! What a s*itshow for their new ad to walk into. Under Armour was smart about signing Steph Curry, not so smart to tie their collegiate wagon to the ruins…

True ‘67, when they couldn’t get rid of seats for the OU game at 4 for the price of one, who’d have thought they’d be able to sell baby blue and yellow gear.

Guerrero’s reply to Under Armour would’ve probably seemed more creditable if not for the constant references to UFO’s……

“ Under Armour has recently made the difficult decision to discontinue our partnership with UCLA, as we have been paying for marketing benefits that we have not received for an extended time period. The agreement allows us to terminate in such an event and we are exercising that right.

Sounds like ghosts were the ones in charge of marketing, which in all honesty is understandable considering the numbers they had shuttling donuts and burritos to the athletic department.

I like the statements from UCLA.
They won’t go down without a fight..
They pretty much said “please reconsider, we’ll do anything!……(pause)….anything ”
Them Bruins can always brighten our day🌞🌞🌞

Couldn’t you Twits, for just one day, keep the posts centered on honoring this young mans great and beautiful life?
How sick are you guys?
This is pretty bad… Skip the politics..
Max deserves better from fellow Trojans.

I guess “Doctor” Jensen didn’t read the many touching and thoughtful comments made here the day Max died……

He’s offended by the” politics” of the ruins? How could a real Trojan not enjoy schadenfreude over this major fail?

Absolutely Michael, meaning no disrespect to Max at all but by my count this is the fourth article since Sunday…and we’ll deserved. He might try going back to this one and work his way forward…

And 22, if on the day I day the ruins come across looking foolish, nothing would make me feel happier (if there is a hereafter) to see you rubbing it on them.

On the one hand, I kinda get what WB was getting at….. but after 2 weeks of people stealing handles to berate the regulars on this blog in the most offensive terms conceivable, he picked a weird day to demand decorum….

Considered that and remember he never mentioned anything in those other threads that turned maliciously political. But then his other pseudonym is .S

Ha! I just watched it on YouTube –I think my cousins played something like that in Sicily — [only there were hens and roosters running all over the field with them]…….

Pudly — I watched that video. As Lucy says to George in “Room With a View”, “The Italians are such funny people —so much beauty…and so much violence.”

Colorful comes to mind when I think of my times in Italy. Great place to visit. Saw an article last year about an old city that was selling homes for $1 as their young people were being forced out due to the lack of work. My brother and I bought one (only condition of sale is that we improve that property).. we’ve had a blast renovating.

Ha! Renovation seems to be a word that doesn’t exist in central Sicily. When a house comes down, it stays down. Lots of more or less empty lots —all that’s left being crumbling foundations and dilapidated stone walls. Fun places for Sicilian young men to bring girlfriends for picnics —where they eat and drink and fall asleep muttering “bastard Italians and their bitter wine.”

Calm down.
We haven’t disrespected Max at all. But there hasn’t been another entry from Wolf today for any other discussions.

I always wanted him to play OT at USC but he never had the opportunity. Max was my personal favorite from his recruiting class because of the kids we had missed out on from them backing out over the course of time which we weren’t playing good ball or for other reasons. Arik Armstead, Andrus Peat, and Kyle Murphy were three big names that stick out that I remember because they were all big names and were all supposed to play with Max and Zack Banner. Armstead said he would play OL if things didn’t work out on defense. But as we all remember we had a terrible day on signing day. Embarrassing because the program looked lost and Stanford looked like the new USC. But Max stayed true and a Trojan. I liked watching him play on Fox Sports with J.J. speaking about his talent and how USC was getting a good football player. He was just that and he never made unwanted headlines during that time which is almost impossible it seems now days. He was arguably the most consistent trojan and he was underrated in my opinion.
I wish his family the best.
RIP Max and Fight On!
