A Max Tuerk Memory

I’ve been wanting to recount a Max Tuerk story for the past week so here’s one:

When Tuerk played at USC, the team started wearing those shiny helmets that looked like Christmas bulbs. The helmets also featured a chrome face mask.

After the first time USC wore them, Tuerk showed me his face mask. All of the chrome had been chipped off during the game. It happened every time USC wore the helmets.

Tuerk’s helmet took a beating every game. He was always a physical player so it wasn’t surprising.

    1. Hey Brent, I can appreciate that you put your name out there, so much so, I want to make sure that you’re clear on what happened here. You’re thinking that the person who put up that post is a liberal black person, but it’s actually a conservative white person. It is someone for whom the worst thing that came out of the George Floyd matter is the fact that they now have to hear people of color complain about racism. If you read this blog, you will see that there are many Conservatives who are tired of hearing people complain about racism. If you put yourself in their shoes, you can understand how hearing about racism can get old. It is clearly very taxing on some people to hear these complaints and this guy was sarcastically trying to make that point. It’s unfortunate that (unlike you) they are not particularly empathetic individuals and they don’t tend to put themselves in the shoes’ of others.

I’m sorry that person got you upset and pissed on Max’s day, but that’s just what those types tend to do. Be cool and hang loose bro.

      1. Clay Russell is a liberal Gen Xer white person with white guilt. He kisses the feet of those he has oppressed by his mere existence. He wishes his mother had aborted him.

If only there was some way Clay Russell could invite a oppressed black family to live with him he would, but that would involve him getting off his soap box and actually putting his money where his big mouth is… and that is not happening.

Despite all the money he made doing adult films, Clay The Duuuuuuude isn’t about to actually make one black person’s life better. He would rather write 100,000 word essays on why America is a evil country.

      2. No, Clay, just tired of the hypocrisy of guys like you and Megatron, while making the kind of assumptions and stereotyping about all police, Caucasian’s, and conservatives, that you and any other Minority group would never want done to them.

      3. lg4sc, I’m sorry things are so tough for you, but was there something specific in my post that you disagree with? In your response you just say, “no” and then start accusing me of things I never said or did and associating me with someone I don’t know. What exactly in my post did you disagree with?

      4. Clay Russell! Who are you to tell me that I am not black?? If Bruce Jenner can be female, I can be and am black! The fact that you assume that I am a frustrated white guy makes you judgmental and racist!

  1. In other news… There is a growing crowd of protesters who are advocating tearing down all public monuments associated with slavery and bigotry. There are a large group of people who are calling for the change of the Southern Cal mascot as the Trojans were a society that not only had slaves but actively defended and advocated for the benefits of slavery. Ancient Greek writers (including, most notably, Aristotle) described slavery as natural and even necessary.
