Former USC safety C.J. Pollard has decided to transfer to Utah State. Pollard follows the footsteps of another former Serra High School and USC player, Jalen Greene, who transferred to Utah State two years ago. Quarterback Miller Moss, who committed to USC last week, is transferring to Mater Dei from Alemany, according to Eric Sondheimer of the Los Angeles Times. This is actually the third school for Moss, who spent his freshman year at Loyola. Remember that USC’s other committed quarterback, Jake Garcia, is also on his third school. Jarrid Williams, a graduate transfer from Houston committed to Miami tonight. Besides USC, Williams also considered Baylor, Florida State, Florida State. USC wanted Williams to start at right tackle to help bolster a shaky offensive line. He is the second grad-transfer tackle to turn down the Trojans. Ken Del Conte, a halfback on the 1962 USC national championship team, has died. He was 78. Del Conte was a versatile player who was the third-leading receiver on the 1962 team, returned punts and kickoffs and was awarded the game ball after a 14-0 victory over Washington.
