Yesterday, Keyshawn Johnson was upset Mike Bohn did not defend USC more against the idea Ohio State is more deserving of a College Football Playoff berth.
Bohn might be right but it looks like he got the message. Here is what he told Bill Plaschke of the Los Angeles Times last night.
“It’s just frustrating,” Bohn said. “I’m not sure the Pac-12 has been given the type of respect it deserves.”
The problem for USC (and Bohn) is the CFP committee actually watched the Trojans play this season.
“In three of those games, USC was behind in the fourth quarter,” chairperson Gary Barta said.
“It’s important to win, but the committee watches all the games, and who you play is important and how you win those games is also important.”
My reaction: USC is not deserving, obviously. The Pac-12 is awful. But the Pac-10 had bad teams when Pete Carroll was the coach too. So he went out and won games, often in impressive fashion.
That’s why you need a GOOD COACH. It always comes back to that. Not blaming the SEC. Or the CFP. Or ESPN. Or anyone else. Hire. A. Good. Coach.
