USC Morning Buzz: Pro Day Might Be Interesting

USC will hold its Pro Day at 8 a.m. on the NFL Network.

The most intriguing prospect to me isn’t even draft eligible. I’ve heard Kedon Slovis wants to throw to his former receivers.

If it happens, it will be interesting to see how he looks since injuring his shoulder at the conclusion of the Oregon game. Then again, would USC let him throw if he was less than 100 percent? Probably!

Frankly, the only USC Pro Day I ever covered where a quarterback didn’t pass with flying colors was Matt Leinart, and he was supposedly jittery because so many fans showed up and surrounded the field for his workout.

Otherwise, it’s usually not very taxing for a quarterback.

Offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker, defensive tackle Jay Tufele, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, safety Talanoa Hufanga and wide receiver Tyler Vaughns are among those expected to work out.

Cornerback Olaijah Griffin said he is not working out today because of a positive COVID-19 test, which he believes is a false positive.
