USC Saturday Buzz: Game Day!

What an amazing conference where you can play Oregon State a week after Washington State.

Oregon State has a 61-year, 24-game losing streak at USC.

Donte Williams has to love this schedule. He was at the Mater Dei game on Friday night.

Williams couldn’t have been serious on Thursday when he said everyone would find out Saturday who would start at QB. He already knew Jaxson Dart had knee surgery.

Even worse, he hasn’t put a time table on Dart’s absence.

It doesn’t matter to Williams because he knows at worst, he will be back next season unless he chooses to leave.

The other USC assistants will not have that luxury.

    2. Well MG, we know Oregon State’s game plan. Drop 8 and watch Shedon struggle! 😂😂😂. His arm is a wet noodle at this point. If I were USC I would get serious about Offensive linemen. I actually like Dart but he’ll probably be hurt his entire career due to play style coupled with lack of offensive linemen.

  6. working with hellton ruined athletes, and winning the Pac12 would be all the proof I need to consider hiring Williams…that would be a 180 degree turn in development,effort,play,etc…particularly if sc beats ND; nearly impossible for any coach.Any new sc coach has to 1st lay out his plan to negate hellton cancerous influence

  8. Who ever plays QB behind this line dies. Could be a long day for the defense in USC doesn’t make an honest attempt at running the ball b/c OSU will. Those quick 3 and outs kill your defense which is already thin.

  9. The knee surgery wasn’t some top secret thing. Everyone in the ‘in crowd’ knew. Bohn simply embargoed the media and the pay-sites aka USC State TV. There was a groveling contest to see who Bohn would let break the “news.”

  10. it’s been approximately two DYNAMIC weeks for Donte. He is trying to prepare the team and make them more disciplined to avoid penalties and to put forth the effort to win. I’m happy his priority is them and not the press. helton couldn’t get his face in front of a camera often enough and he neglected his duties to developing the players and designing game plans based on his opponent. I think Donte IS working to change the culture in the locker room where is is definitely needed and needs to start. He’s also controlled by the helton fan club folt and bohn. What a disaster they are. BTW, does anyone know how helton his time??? It seeems he didn’t’ do follow up recruiting, definitely didn’t work on penalty reduction, didn’t ensure the players were being developed by the associate coaches, didn’t have good opposition research. What did he do for that 5M plus????

    I thhink Slovis has checked out playing football for USC. I think he has taken so many hits that this has destroyed his confidence. His passes are taking time to get to the receiver and he can’t move. The pro offense that Stanford runs fits him. It fits Daniels who left for Georgia. Season is gone.

    Sc has to recruit 5 star linemen on both sides of the ball. It just sucks seeing the qb get hit so many times. That is on Harrell and his offense. It sucsk as well. He needs to run Stanford’s offense. Safer for the qb’s. Yes I do repeart myself.

  18. Dave Aranda stock is rising as USC HC. Matt Campbell is 2-2 and Aranda is 4-0. Aranda is in just his second year as a head coach and already doing well.

  20. Another Helton legacy. No one at USC, including Orlando, taught USC’s defense how to tackle. What an embarrassment for USC and its great defensive history. 14 -14 against a Lackluster Oregon State team. Pathetic.
